Zaha Hadid
In today's post we are going to talk about one
of the architects I have always admired and who inspired me to study this
career, her name is Zaha Hadid.
Born on October 31, 1950, in the city of
Baghdad, Iraq. She was the daughter of an important politician of the area. In
1962 she began to study mathematics at the University of Rebutir and when she
finished, she moved to London to start studying architecture at the
Architectural Association. In 1979 she founded her own studio and at the same
time was a professor at the university where she studied. At the end of the
80's her architectural style had already been defined. She became part of
deconstructivism. By the year 2000 her work was already very famous and in 2004
she was the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize. She died March 31, 2016 in Miami.
One of his most famous works is the Heydar
Aliyev cultural centre, located in Azerbaijan. This building has a museum,
congress halls, exhibition halls and different spaces dedicated to spreading
culture. She also painted abstract works that sought to express the fluidity
and dynamism of inhabit.
I really like her work because it shows that
creativity has no limits and because she was not afraid to break the standards
of architecture. This is my most admired architect, who is your favourite
architect? I hope you enjoyed today's post. See you soon.
